You’re our Sales Manager:


You’re an experienced sales manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit along with a start-up mentality. You have previously worked with dairy farmers in converting initial business conversations to sales, onboarding new customers, driving the right outcomes, and delivering value for all parties will be second nature to you. You’ll have vast knowledge of the dairy farming industry from end to end.

You’ll be responsible for developing trusted networks & relationships with farmers and working with our partners. This is a unique opportunity for you drive your own success and development in this new opportunity for Connecterra with the full backing of the local NZ and HO team in Amsterdam.

This role is work from 'home’, you’ll be mostly based from your home office and required to travel to potential customers across all corners of the country, with main focus on the South Island.


Requirements

Primary Responsibilities 

  1. Win deals. Own and deliver on an annual sales quota.
  2. Work with our partners to qualify opportunities and engage with dairy farmers.
  3. Move deals from initial qualification to closed-won pipeline stage.
  4. Keep your local account team aligned between partners, customer success and support.


Soft Skills 

  • Self-sourcing new business leads through multiple ways including cold calling, networking, referrals, referral partners/events etc.
  • Managing relationships and increasing the value of existing customers.
  • Aptitude for rapport building with demonstrable prospecting skills and the ability to identify and convert opportunities, you’re a proven closer with a demonstratable track record and strategic approach
  • Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team
  • Able to manage sales pipeline
  • Analytical, proactive, commercial mindset
  • Outstanding planning, organisational & follow up skills.

Requirements

  • 5 years + experience within a similar role, solution sales with strong business development, planning, and financial management skills
  • Ideal but not necessary, prior experience in selling technology to farmers.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Full NZ drivers license
