You are our People Operations Specialist

For our headquarters in Amsterdam, we are looking for a People Operations Star! Your main responsibilities are to make sure People operations runs smoothly and processes are seamless. You are personable and able to communicate across all levels and locations (NL, US, UK, PA, MA) internally & externally. You can take on diverse challenges and quickly adapt with a problem solving and hands-on mentality. You’ll be reporting to Basak, the People Manager.

This role comes with a 24 hrs/week contract. While some of the work can be done at home, working from the office regularly is required.

Requirements

You’ll be responsible for managing all People Ops including but not limited to:

  • Keeping all our systems up to date including our HRIS (HiBob), our pension, insurance and ARBO portals
  • Manage accurate payrolls together with our external partners, including pension & time-off and parental leave admin
  • Ensure all onboarding and offboarding processes are running smoothly
  • Ensure contract and document management, incl. processing standard changes and filing
  • Expat support: Support during relocations, 30% ruling applications, HSM visa applications, extensions, terminations
  • Recruitment support: Arrange interviews, create offer letters and contracts
  • You are passionate about a great candidate and employee experience and continuously seek to improve our people and system processes and proactively make suggestions for optimizing them together with the People Manager
  • Together with the People Manager, you help nurture an engaging company culture
  • Assist in running employee engagement surveys
  • Make sure our policy documents are always up to date, including but not limited to our Employee Handbook and Welcome Guides
  • Up to date knowledge of Dutch labour law is a must, US labour law knowledge is a plus

Who are you?

  • You have at minimum a Bachelors Degree from a relevant field (Psychology, HR etc.)
  • You have minimum 2 years work experience in a role as HR specialist preferably in a fast-paced tech start-up environment
  • You strive for supporting people and helping others
  • You are highly accurate and have a strong eye for details
  • You are proactive, do not shy away from taking initiatives and getting things done
  • You have a social character, positive energy and great interpersonal skills
  • You mastered self-organization, planning and time management skills; you can work independently and deal with short deadlines
  • You are tech-savvy and comfortable with learning new tools
  • You keep your head cool under pressure
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication in English. Dutch would be a bonus but not necessary
  • You live in the Netherlands and have the right to work within the EU
